Nvidia TRAININGS and talks
Monday, Mar 18 | 9:00 AM - 10:40 AM PDT
Join this 101 workshop where 3D artists can see how to connect and collaborate between multiple apps with the power of Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) and NVIDIA Omniverse, accelerated by NVIDIA RTX. Working on NVIDIA RTX-enabled systems that are purpose-built for 3D workflows, you'll:
▪︎ Get a tour of the basics of Omniverse USD Composer.
▪︎ Learn how to connect Adobe Substance 3D Painter and Autodesk Maya.
▪︎ Experience new live-sync real time iteration.
▪︎ Explore lighting and renderer settings, and how to package and share.
Prerequisite(s):
▪︎ Fundamental knowledge of 3D tools - Autodesk Maya and Adobe Substance Painter.

Omniverse Impactful Scientific Visualization using Art and Science
Tuesday, Mar 19 | 3:00 PM - 3:50 PM PDT
Omniverse, Paraview, and a few other applications can be used to create "impactful scientific visualization." These visualizations can target a wide range of audiences and vary from simple 2D animations with limited colors to 3D/extended reality photorealistic renderings. We'll present techniques that combine the power of Omniverse with other applications to streamline and simplify creating impactful scientific visualizations. We'll show photorealistic rendering techniques of surface and volume datasets. Scientists frequently generate very large simulation datasets, using some of the fastest supercomputers on the planet. The Paraview connector allows Omniverse users to easily import HPC datasets into Composer and renderer a photorealistic animation. We'll present UE5.2, Houdini, Substance Painter, and Character Creator techniques to further enhance the visualization.

Brad Carvey, Senior Design Engineer, Sandia National Laboratories
